Introduction to freediving. One day.

US$ 110 includes full equipment rental, meals and drinks.

Description

Our Introduction to freediving course covers the most important practical skills from the PADI Freediver course in a single day. Basic theory classes, a breathing workshop and open water session are included. Your experience and goals are always discussed before starting. This course can be taken as a pool-only option at our Sanur beach location. Most Bali freedive courses take place in Amed.

The theory covers some simple science on how the body works and adapts to freedive training. We teach you how to relax the mind and body using your breath. You practice dry simulations of holding the breath. In the water we cover hydrodynamic body alignment, kicking with long fins and efficient duck diving.

Most students end up diving between 10-15m on an introduction course. We put more emphasis on achieving a good relaxed feeling during each dive, rather than pushing to your absolute limit.

Bali freediving courses happen in Amed at our freediving school. The tropical coral reefs here are teeming with marine life, making them a great place to learn. We like taking photos and provide a free, high quality, post-produced JPEG album of your Bali freedive course and time on the reef. We can also shoot and edit a high quality video of your diving for US$ 40. Click here to watch some of these videos.

PADI Advanced Freediver (level 2) Three days.

US$ 330 includes course materials, equipment hire, internationally recognised PADI certification, meals and drinks, Guided adventure dive on USAT Liberty WW2 Shipwreck.

Description

PADI Advanced/Level 2 is a three day intensive freediving course that builds on the basics. Advanced techniques are introduced to allow easier, longer and deeper dives. People really start to progress and discover their potential on this Bali freediving course.

Key practical skills include: freefall, hydrodynamic body alignment, lung stretching, advanced rescue protocol and static apnea. There is increased focus on improving kicking technique and style to make the freediver more efficient with oxygen.

New theoretical concepts are introduced and level 1 topics are built upon. Aquatic techniques are complemented with yoga and dry training exercises that the diver can do at home.

The idea is to create a well-rounded freediver with the knowledge and skills to take responsibility for their own progression and training. The diver becomes confident and consistent. Safety is a big focus.

The freediver will begin to understand the power of mental and physical relaxation while freediving. Most students end up diving between 20-30m.

This focus can vary depending on the student. Your experience and goals are always discussed before starting the Bali freedive course. For example we can tailor make packages that involve aspects of spearfishing if so desired.
